Union Structure

We're here to help make your stay at Sunderland a happy and memorable one.

Sunderland Students' Union is run by students for students.

Your Executive Committee is elected from and by the student body in a cross campus election and holds office for one academic year. There are 5 full time sabbatical officers and 4 non sabbaticals, working hard for you, making sure your voice is heard and your needs are met.

The Exec have individual areas of responsibility and also oversee the day to day running of your Students' Union, operating under the rules laid down by the Constitution. They are supported in this by the General Manager and the permanent staff team.

The Exec, in turn, are answerable to you, the students, through the Students' Council the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM)
